Disruptive pupils' parents could end up in court
Disruptive pupils' parents could end up in court

The Telegraph reports today that parents of unruly youths could be made to go to school themselves or brought before the courts. This is part of Mr Balls crackdown on misbehaviour. Well done Mr Edwardo Balls, just what is needed to convince 10 to 15 year olds to be little angels. What about a whack with a big stick, takes a mater of seconds, doesn’t cost anything, doesn’t involve the courts, isn’t set out to stigmatise parents and guess what, punishes the perpetrator. But no, you would prefer to punish their parents on the basis that it is not the fault of the kids. Listen up old son! 10 to 15 year olds do stupid stuff, and why, because they have a million hormones running around inside them, they have peer pressure, they resent authority (ok I admit there is not a lot of that around), they are smarter than the trillion adults in the world and to top it all they can do a 180 degree jump and turn on their skateboard. So how is punishing parents going to help? Do you think that this will mean that parents will be scared of getting into trouble and will therefore make sure the kids behave ... Oh yea, dream on! Let’s consider a potential typical case.
Little Johnny decides he wants to throw books around in the classroom, which he does with some gusto and gets excluded for 5 days. During these five days even though he is grounded by his parents who both work, thus meaning that one of them has to take a week’s holiday, he has a really good time. And what does he do? Well he reads a bit, watches his favourite TV programs and becomes an expert at level five at "Do the teacher" on his game box. No homework, no having to sit still and focus, no having to get up to get to school, gets a few brownie points from his mates, so no problem. Now at this point you may be wondering what more his parents can do. Well they can take his comics away, not allow him to watch television and disconnect his game box. In which case they may as well lock him in an empty room for the week and give him bread and gruel. What they cannot do is to give him a clip around the ear because as we all now that is ASSAULT punishable by a term in prison, and if you were to ask little Johnny with his hormones raging around inside him if that would cause him any concern the answer is likely to be no, because it would mean that he was getting one over on his parents. Anyway the story goes on; he goes back to school and, can you believe it, a week later does the same thing and this time he is excluded for two weeks. So once again he is back home enjoying himself, while his parents or one of them gets rid of the rest of their holiday entitlement. As you can imagine this continues for two or three more times until the school cannot stand the situation any more and Johnny’s parents are hauled before the school who have the power to impose parenting orders, which means in this case that they both have to come back to school to learn how to be good parents. At this point you have to ask the questions: What does this do for Johnny’s parents jobs and careers, does it mean that Johnny feels in the slightest bit punished, or does Johnny feel that It most definitely was not his fault as can be seen by his parents being punished, and does Johnny earn even more brownie points because by his actions he can make his parents life even more of a misery than the average 15 year old already does. So, so far because little Johnny has been a little git, he feels and will tell everyone in later life that he was a victim of bad parents, his parents have lost all their holiday are probably on Prozac by now and of course are blacklisted by the state as being unworthy. But I have got a better solution, which going back to the top of this rant is called a cane. Experience lets me tell you that it hurts, enough to bring tears to the eyes of most 10 to 15 year olds, but it makes you think twice about being "naughty" again. It is all over very quickly, the perpetrator has been punished, it is not logged within the stazi state records and the parents can get on with their lives. Q.E.D. a solution. Now for all those out there who think this is outrageous explain this one to me ... in Singapore street crime or crimes that would serve up an ASBO here, people and yes youths are beaten with a stick, and guess what, street crime is just about non existent, because no one wants to be beaten. Therefore offering corporal punishment effectively eliminates this type of behaviour and therefore no need for corporal punishment ... there we are now everyone is happy.
Comments below if you agree, don’t bother if you are of the left wing blame someone else brigade.
So off to work.

The shocking moment police officer grabs female climate change protester by the throat
The shocking moment police officer grabs female climate change protester by the throat

Today’s story in the Daily Mail pictures a police officer with his hands around the throat of a climate change protester. Delving into the story it reported that this woman had committed the heinous crime of asking the officer for his number. How dare she, what a liberty and this is just the kind of person who probably thinks that they are a law abiding citizen ...which means that she doesn’t quite understand what this government means by law abiding. No not a clue! Her friend who took a picture of the officer was also bundled to the floor and arrested, and yes you have got it, for taking the picture. She also should have known better because as every law abiding citizen knows "NO PICTURES OF THE POLICE", and yes it is enshrined in law.
What is really going on here? Well after over a decade of this governments "RULE" they have decided that the peasants will do exactly what they are told, when to get up, what to eat and when, how much to drink, how much (never) to smoke, how to fill your wheelie bin, etc, etc,. Just how they impose their will on the peasants is a bit more tricky so they take the view of mid term subversion. The rules and regulations are part of this; it is to make us all feel that we are second class to the rulers and therefore much more likely to toe the line. So bring in the army of officer of the subversion squads: Think about it for a few moments, The health and safety officers who could admonish you for having a pencil too sharp, the bin police who after checking the spy chip on your bin may fine you for putting the wrong rubbish in the right container, the rates police, who have rights to entry to your house to check if you have improved it so they can put the rates up, the social police who can take a child away from its parents because they are too stupid and so the list goes on. This lot together with the police have over time the effect of reducing people’s awareness of being subverted. Essentially if these types of things are bought in on a piecemeal basis and each one of them not worth getting particularly upset about the government eventually achieves it aim, which is get up, go to work, earn little, pay taxes and otherwise shut up.
As mentioned it is unlawful to take pictures of police officers, and why? Is it really to protect the police against terrorists or is it to stop pictures like the one in the Daily Mail being printed ... I would be interested in your comments!

Girl sues school after fall for 'letting' her get drunk (Read the full story)

A story from the Evening Standard relating to a former pupil suing a public school after a drunken fall from a window. She is now demanding £300,000 damages blaming the school for her being drunk.
What can you really say about this, yes it's sad that the young lady has badly injured herself, but blaming the school! Don’t get this one but it goes with the culture now "it must be someone else’s fault". Lets just get to the bottom of this ... She got drunk and fell 15 feet from her first-floor window through a window that opened 12 inches (three times the legal limit) ... not sure whether that refers to the opening of the window or the amount she had drunk. So whose fault was this? Did the school ply this young lady with drink, was it on the curriculum, did they encourage under age drinking? All these need to be answered by the court but I would put money on what the answer is going to be.
How about these:
Man with ladder, which has wheels on one end so that you can push the ladder up a wall easily. Man put ladder up the wrong way, wheels on bottom, thus the floor ... whose fault was it that the ladders rolled backwards while he was on them.
Man sticks finger into live light socket ... no one told him that electricity should be turned off first. Who’s to blame, the light bulb manufacturers?
The list could go on, please put any gems that you have as comments and I will collate them.
Anyway the point of this is not so much about the girl who was injured it is the whole blame culture that we live in. It’s getting to the point that anything that has the slightest bit of risk, which is just about everything after you open your eyes in the morning, is potentially an element of get rich quick. Let me try a few:
I fell off the bed and broke my wrist ... The manufacturers have made this bed at 2 feet high with no regard to the potential hazard.
I poked my toothbrush in my eye causing not only pain but post traumatic stress ... there was nothing on the instructions warning against sticking the brush in my eye.
I cut myself shaving with a "SAFETY" razor ... clearly this is a misrepresentation of the word safety because it clearly isn’t.
I used hairspray under my arms, my armpits are very hairy and the tin clearly says it’s for hair. Since this incident I have not been able to sleep and it has affected my work from which I am now on sick leave.
And so far I haven’t got out of the bathroom.

So off to work ... now this is going to be fun/dangerous.

Dead Rapist Human Rights Scandal (Read the full story)

We all read the main headlines in newspapers but to get a good reflection on our society, the way we live, the way we are governed and the laws of the country, but it is wise to read some of the smaller stories. I have created a web site www.tbogsnews.com to highlight some of these in the national and regional press. Each day I will comment on one story and see how much you either laugh or cry.  WARNING ... If you don’t want to lose your hair doesn’t read any further!!

Today's top story relates to a foreign rapist who he claimed had his human rights abused by people seeing him in handcuffs. So enter the taxpayer to fund a court battle. If you think that this is crazy then try to get your mind around this. The chap died during the court case but his daughter was still able to get funding from legal aid to continue the battle. The upshot was that the case was eventually dismissed but it is reported at the cost of £20,000 to me and you.

Legal aid is a must in that anyone should have access to a lawyer if they are accused of a crime, but I have severe doubts about funding legal action for anyone who initiates the action. It seems to me that providing you do not have any money in the first place then it is possible to effectively act as if you were a billionaire. How many hard working people reading this could have coughed up £20,000 for this action? Not many! However the Legal Service Commission and the Ministry of Justice are quite happy to do this with your money, while at the same time saying that they do not have enough funds and are effectively reducing the number and therefore quality of Barristers and lawyers who will take on legal aided cases. This particular case is of course one of many and no doubt I will be highlighting a few more in the future. But this nonsense should be stopped, the persons responsible should be named and shamed and bought to book.
